Product
What formats of policies can I upload?
We currently support PDF documents. JPG and PNG image formats are coming soon. If you have policies in other formats, reach out and we'll help.
Can I use insia for business or commercial policies?
Yes. insia works with personal, business, and commercial insurance policies. If you have specific policy types you're unsure about, contact us and we'll confirm compatibility.
How do renewal reminders work?
When you upload a policy, insia extracts the renewal date and sends you a reminder as the date approaches. You can customize reminder timing and opt out anytime.
Is my data safe with insia?
Yes. Your policies contain sensitive information. Policy documents are encrypted, stored in private authenticated storage, and broker access is permission-based and revocable. We do not sell your data.
AI
How does insia explain my policy?
Our AI reads your actual policy documents and summarizes cover, limits, exclusions, and conditions in plain language. These summaries are general factual information and should always be checked against your original policy wording.
Does insia train AI models on my policy documents?
No. Uploaded policy documents are not used to train AI models. AI assistance is used to explain the information you provide as general information.
Does AI replace the original policy wording?
No. The original policy wording remains the source of truth. insia can help explain information in plain language as general information, but important decisions should be checked against the source document and discussed with your insurer, broker or licensed adviser where needed.
Quotes
Can insia help me compare insurance quotes?
Yes, as factual organisation support. insia can help keep quote details from brokers, insurers or comparison websites beside your current policy record. It does not recommend a quote, insurer, policy, broker or cover level.
Is insia like Compare the Market, iSelect or Canstar?
Not in the same way. Those services can help users compare selected product panels, quotes, ratings or features. insia starts with the user's policy record, then supports broker-led quote review and factual quote comparison context without recommending a product, provider or cover level.
How does consent-led quote review work?
You choose the policy record, documents, notes and fields you want to share. A broker or future quote integration receives structured context, and quote details can return beside your current policy record with source, consent and missing-information notes visible.
Brokers
How does insia help brokers?
insia streamlines client relationships by organizing policy records in one place, automating routine tasks, and reducing email back-and-forth. Brokers can review factual policy information faster.
Do clients have to use insia for me to access their policies?
Clients control the access. They upload their policies to insia and then decide which brokers and advisers can see them. You can only access policies a client has explicitly shared with you.
How does insia reduce document chasing for brokers?
Instead of asking clients to email PDFs back and forth, clients can upload records to insia and grant selected access. Brokers can search shared policy records, review key fields, and see renewal dates across connected clients without relying on manual spreadsheets.
Can I compare policies across different insurance providers?
insia is designed to help organise factual renewal and quote-comparison context. It can keep broker, insurer or comparison-site quote details beside the current policy record. Any broker-led quote workflow must stay within the broker's own licensing, advice and compliance obligations.
What compliance features does insia have?
All policy sharing is logged with timestamps and audit trails. Clients explicitly consent to each share and can revoke access anytime. This creates a clear compliance record for your firm.
Can I onboard my entire book of business?
Over time, yes. Right now, you can invite clients one by one or in groups. They join, upload their policies, and grant you access. Bulk import and API integrations are coming in Phase 3.
How does insia handle sensitive information?
Client data is stored in private, authenticated systems with permission-based access. Policies are stored securely, access logs are auditable, and the product is designed to support privacy and security obligations. Clients stay in control of who can see what.
Is there a cost for brokers to use insia?
Broker pricing is being finalised for launch. Any broker pricing, trial or paid access terms will be shown before access opens.
Can I integrate insia with my existing tools?
Not yet, but API integrations are on our roadmap for Phase 3 (Q2 2027). We're designing integrations with common broker platforms and CRM systems.
How do I handle multi-broker scenarios (where a client works with multiple brokers)?
Clients can share their policies with multiple brokers. Each broker sees only what the client shared with them. In Phase 3, insia will add collaboration tools so brokers can coordinate around clients.
What if a client revokes my access?
You'll be notified immediately. Any policies they revoke access to will no longer appear in your view. This is working as designed — clients always control their data.
Can I use insia to send clients renewal reminders?
Coming soon. Right now, clients get their own reminders. In Phase 2, brokers will be able to set up client-specific alerts and renewal workflows.
Security

Can I delete or revoke broker access?
Yes, absolutely. You can revoke a broker's access to any policy at any time. When you do, we log it for your records. Brokers can only see what you explicitly share.
