Terms of Service

These terms describe the current scope of insia for policy records, document storage, renewal reminders, responsible AI-assisted explanation, broker workflows, and support services.

Last updated: 3 June 2026.

Service boundaries summary

  • insia helps organise policy records, documents, renewals, quote context, and broker workflows.
  • insia is not an insurer, broker, adviser, claims handler, underwriter, or legal service.
  • AI outputs are general information and must be checked against original policy documents.
  • Brokers remain responsible for their own advice, licensing, fees, privacy notices, records, and compliance.

Agreement

These terms govern your access to and use of insia, including the iOS app, public website, broker portal, policy document storage, AI features, broker workflows, and support services. If you use the service for a business, brokerage, or client, you represent that you have authority to do so.

Who operates the service

insia is operated for the Australian launch market. Contact support, privacy, and legal operations at hello@insia.com.au.

What the service does

insia helps users store and organise insurance policy records, upload policy documents, extract factual text, generate plain-English general-information summaries, track renewal reminders, keep claim notes, send broker/client workflow requests, and import authorised policy emails.

What the service does not do

insia does not provide financial, legal, insurance, broker, underwriting, coverage, or claims advice. It does not recommend insurers, policies, products, brokers, premiums, claim strategies, cover levels, renewals, cancellations, purchases, or switches. It does not act as an insurer, broker, authorised representative, claims handler, loss assessor, lawyer, or financial adviser.

Accounts and deletion

You are responsible for accurate account information, account activity, and keeping your login methods secure. You may initiate account deletion in the app or by contacting hello@insia.com.au. Deletion is subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, backup, and compliance retention needs.

User content and documents

User content includes policy documents, claim notes, photos, messages, broker requests, emails, attachments, chat prompts, and information you upload, enter, forward, or submit. You represent that you have the right and authority to provide that content, including where it relates to another person or client.

AI features

AI outputs are generated automatically, may be inaccurate or incomplete, are not advice, and must be checked against original policy documents. You must not use AI features to seek personalised recommendations, claims decisions, legal advice, or instructions for unlawful activity.

Broker workflows

Broker workflows are tools for communication, document organisation, policy records, and action tracking. Brokers remain responsible for their own advice, conduct, licensing, recommendations, fees, privacy notices, records, and compliance.

Claims notes

Claims features are record-keeping tools only. insia does not lodge, assess, negotiate, decide, settle, or manage insurance claims. You remain responsible for contacting your insurer or broker and complying with policy requirements.

Commercial terms

Launch pricing is being finalised. Any free tier, paid plan, trial period, renewal terms, cancellation terms, and App Store subscription details will be shown clearly before a subscription starts.

If paid access is offered through the App Store, subscriptions are subject to Apple's standard terms, renewal, cancellation, and account refund/receipt rules in addition to these terms.

Availability, disclaimers, and liability

The service may change, pause, or be discontinued. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is and as available. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Australian launch of insia. Questions about these terms and legal notices may be sent to hello@insia.com.au.

These terms are used for launch operations and should be updated when Full Access workflows or jurisdictional obligations change.
